Urban waste collection in Madrid becomes more environmentally friendly with CNG-powered Iveco Stralis
The City Council of Madrid in Spain has added 109 compressed natural gas-powered Iveco Stralis vehicles to its fleet, which will be used to collect urban waste in the Spanish capital. The Iveco plant in Madrid is dedicated to the production of these heavy-duty gas-powered trucks, which reduce CO₂ emissions by 10%, particulate matter by 95% and NOx by 35%, as well as delivering fuel cost savings of up to 40% and a Total Cost of Ownership 10% lower than their diesel equivalent.Turin, 16 November 2016 Madrid City Council in Spain has acquired 109 Iveco Stralis heavy-duty trucks powered
