Gestational diabetes may predispose to postpartum depression symptoms

Mothers diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) have an elevated risk of developing postpartum depression symptoms, according to a new Finnish study. Gestational diabetes mellitus refers to impaired glucose metabolism during pregnancy.
