Ninety-nine percent of all the households in Västmanland County now have access to broadband service. The majority of the residents in the county can now get broadband with speeds up to 8 Mbit/s. Ericsson to build China Telecom's next-generation IP backbone network

Ericsson has been awarded a contract by China Telecom Corporation Limited (China Telecom) for building its next-generation IP backbone network, known as ChinaNet Next Carrying Network (CN2). Subsea contract for Fram Øst

Aker Kvaerner's subsea company, Kvaerner Oilfield Products (KOP), will deliver engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of two four-slot templates for a total of seven wells including wellhead systems and Xmas trees as well as control systems. Design, fabrication and testing will be carried out by KOP's project team in Lysaker, Tranby and Egersund in Norway and Aberdeen in UK, through 2005 and 2006.
