Peab builds student housing in Björkhagen
Peab has been commissioned to build 166 energy efficient student apartments in Björkhagen, south of Stockholm. The customer is Stiftelsen Stockholms studentbostäder, SSSB and the contract is worth SEK 152 million.Peab will build 166 new student apartments in Björkhagen divided into three sections consisting of two low-rise apartment buildings and one high-rise. In order to reduce both costs and construction time the buildings’ framework will be built with a prefabricated concrete consisting of so-called flat concrete slabs and external solid walls with a ready-made brick façade.
